The primary function of the Environmental Services Technician position is to ensure that all areas of the hospital and hospital owned facilities are clean and well maintained at all times. To ensure all hospital and hospital owned facilities waste is removed from departments in a timely manner. Environmental Services Technicians report to the Environmental Services Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Push, pull and move Environmental Services equipment and supplies up to 75 pounds.
  • Lift 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision within normal ranges with or without correction.
  • Follow written, pictorial and verbal instructions.
  • Provide appropriate care for the patient’s age-specific, cultural, physical and psychosocial well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
