Information about the position

We seek a passionate advocate for Design Systems, who will play a pivotal role in shaping our multi-platform design system. By collaborating closely with designers, developers, and product managers, you’ll create reusable UI components and design patterns that meet stakeholder needs and elevate the user experience. Your role involves documenting best practices, design standards, and usage guidelines, while also conducting design reviews to ensure proper implementation of Vinted’s Design System.

In this position, you’ll

• Join our cross-functional Design Systems team, consisting of Product Designers and Engineers, to actively contribute to the development of a streamlined, multi-platform design system.
• Craft and maintain comprehensive UX and visual guidelines that ensure consistency and accessibility across all of Vinted’s digital products.
• Collaborate with the Design System Manager to identify opportunities to enhance the impact of the Design System and address existing inconsistencies.
• Work closely with the Product Design team to understand and resolve current issues within the design framework.
• Create reusable UI components and design patterns, documenting design standards, best practices, and usage guidelines that align with stakeholder needs.
• Conduct design reviews and provide guidance to ensure all design system components are accessible, inclusive, and correctly implemented.
• Stay updated on industry trends, integrating best practices into the design system to continuously improve the user experience.

About you

• Proven track record of shipping high-quality digital products for web products and mobile native apps;
• Strong visual design skills with keen attention to detail;
• Experience in building, contributing to design systems;
• Familiarity with design tokens and their implementation;
• Proficiency in Figma;
• Systematic thinking with the ability to solve complex design challenges;
• Critical design thinker, driven to solve problems and able to align teams around problem areas and discovery.
• Growth mindset; willingness to learn and openness to feedback;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Excellent communication skills, including written and spoken English;
• Having a development understanding or background is a bonus.
