Job Description

Numerator is looking for a DevSecurity Engineer with a focus on security to ensure the safety and reliability of our ever-growing data assets.

As part of our team, you will leverage your security experience to ensure that we continue to develop solutions that are a balance of great security and ease of implementation. You will bring your willingness to learn and excitement to continue the conversation about the future growth of our applications and environment. You would be joining our distributed Security team where you will get the opportunity to work alongside the Hosting, Engineering and the Data Science team in crafting the future of Numerator’s infoSec.

What You'll Do:

  • Use cloud-based security tools to enhance company-wide security and implement them across various codebases and languages to automate processes.
  • Build tools and automation scripts to help developers easily consume security services and improve accessibility via CI/CD pipelines and other methods.
  • Ensure applications follow security standards and assist in hardening best practices.
  • Stay current on security best practices and participate in ongoing learning through pair programming, TDD, code reviews, and applying new technologies.
  • Serve on-call for CVE and alert triage, investigation, and remediation coordination.
  • 3+ years of experience as an SRE or DevSecOps Engineer.
  • Experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, GCP, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Bash, Kubernetes, Docker, Atlantis, Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions.
  • Proficient in at least one modern language (Python preferred, also Ruby or Java); exposure to security principles and infrastructure as code.
  • Demonstrate ownership, pride, forward-thinking, and a drive to foster innovation.

  • Previous experience working with a geographically distributed software engineering team.
  • CIS Benchmarks & Controls.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in an Agile software development environment.
  • Working with federated application teams.
  • GitHub Advanced Security.
