Summary

As a Technical Program Manager within the Engineering Leadership Team at Lam Research, you will oversee a range of engineering initiatives that span multiple product groups. Your primary focus will be driving programs that accelerate and enable engineering capabilities across all Lam engineering teams. Key deliverables include accelerating product development and preparing engineering for a digital future to deliver positive business outcomes. This role is highly visible and entails collaboration with various internal stakeholders and leading technical teams to achieve business objectives.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

• Manage technical programs to drive cross-functional efforts within a matrix organization in the following areas:
  • Engineering product development
  • Engineering process improvements
  • Engineering operations
  • Engineering enterprise applications
  • CAD automation
  • Product lifecycle management projects and integrations
• Deploying digital technologies, including artificial intelligence.
• Serve as a change agent for digital / AI initiatives related to engineering.
• Oversee program scope, schedule, and resource management.
• Handle program escalation management.
• Collaborate with internal customers, subject matter experts, and other program managers to achieve program objectives.
• Conduct program reviews.
• Analyze, monitor, and course correct program deliverables relative to plan and ROI.
• Capable of working with stakeholders across various global time zones and leadership levels.

Who We’re Looking For

Skills Requirements

• Strong engineering background with product development in complex, configure-to-order products (e.g., semiconductor manufacturing, automotive, aerospace).
• 10+ years of experience with the combination of engineering and technical program management.
• Has managed large cross-functional programs. Encompassing: NPI programs, business process, software enterprise solutions.
• Methodical program management approach.
• Skilled at operating under ambiguity in matrix organizations.
• Experienced in driving digital initiatives (Big data, connected data, protected data, data visualization, data analytics, and use of automation techniques).
• Technical expertise in data analytics, AI concepts, Generative AI, enterprise search products.
• Knowledge of MBSE and MBD is a plus.
• Able to present to executive leadership.
• Willingness to work with distributed teams across global time zones.
• Innovation mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or other related technical subject area.
• MBA – Preferred.
• Program Management certification e.g. PMP – Preferred.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $140,000.00 - $302,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
