Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute experiments aligned with the center’s mission to advance functional precision medicine.
• Develop and conduct in-vitro drug screens using advanced methods and complex patient-derived models.
• Perform preclinical in-vivo assays in mouse models as needed.
• Handle and process patient tissue samples.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare reports, grant applications, and presentations.
• Stay updated with relevant literature and research publications.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Develop, modify, and improve standard operating procedures.
• Utilize computer-interfaced equipment and automation for research tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• PhD or doctoral degree in biomedical/bioengineering or MD with research experience preferred.
• 4-5 years of postgraduate experience is preferred.
• Proven supervisory experience in leading and developing team members.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in writing grants, manuscripts, and reports.
• Recent benchwork experience in cellular and molecular biology, in vivo and in vitro cancer models, and cancer genomics.
• Familiarity with genomic databases and ability to understand new concepts quickly.
• Innovative approach to process development and goal achievement.
• Experience in manuscript and grant/proposal writing is required.
• Excellent organizational and data management skills.
• Proficiency in graphing software (Microsoft suite, Graphpad/Prism) and basic coding (R/Python) is highly desirable.
