In Fortune Brands Innovation, Inc. we're seeking a Should Cost Engineer / Die Casting, Stamping, Heath Metal, to join our team in a highly collaborative and supportive environment. This roll be responsible for Should Cost model development and enhancement, detailed cost breakdown reports and VAVE project implementation. The candidate will be acting as SME for all the manufacturing processes required based on the type of components. The should cost engineer will be a trusted source when it comes to component cost and manufacturing process assessment.
The candidate will demonstrate advanced skills in Value Engineering tools, component cost structure and cost management software, i.e aPriori. She/he needs to posses the ability to accurate should cost FBIN assemblies and components. The results of all these analyzes will be extensively used by FBIN teams (sourcing, engineering, manufacturing) to support and enable best cost during supplier negotiations. He/she will be supporting key negotiation activities as required.
The should cost engineer will be addressing product cost out and cost mitigation opportunities during all phases of FBIN product lifecycle i.e. NPI and product development. Perform and guide feasibility studies and technical analysis for implementation of should cost projects.
Effectively report project status, needs and roadblocks to business leaders to ensure completion.
