Description:

  • Support Capital Design Changes, functioning as a Responsible Engineer and supporting Engineer. Scope of projects expected to include digital, instrumentation, and control systems engineering changes, such as distributed control systems, plant network systems and defensive architecture, and security computer systems.
  • This role is responsible for providing expert-level engineering services, ensuring that systems are designed, implemented, and maintained according to safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
  • The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the nuclear sector, a deep understanding of digital and network systems (hardware and software), and expertise in design processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Lead the design and layout of systems and equipment used in nuclear power plants. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Project Leadership: Provide subject matter expertise for engineering projects from conception to completion, including feasibility studies, design reviews, and field support.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all designs meet nuclear industry safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Documentation: Create, review, and update detailed design documents, specifications, and calculations for electrical systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers, to deliver integrated designs for nuclear plant projects.
  • Design Reviews & Improvements: Lead design reviews, assess potential risks, and recommend solutions or improvements. Review vendor designs and integration plans to ensure compatibility with overall project goals.
