Summary of the Role:
Specialist Standardization Process Engineering is responsible for leading the development, regular updating and maintaining GES – Global Engineering Standards for Process Engineering aspects, Special Process Equipment, Process Safety devices & Process package units. Additionally, this position is also responsible for providing process engineering inputs for Mechanical, piping & instrumentation standards. This position should be well versed with & always updated with all the related engineering standards, codes, latest industrial practices, new developments for Process Engineering, Process safety devices for specialty chemical industry. This position is responsible for driving global programs for Standardization. And with GES usage & implementation, drive improve operational safety, achieve cost reduction by collaborating with global stakeholders within operation and procurement organization. This position will collaborate & engage with diverse team / experts within and outside Lubrizol, to seek develop, update & maintain the GES.
Responsibilities:
Education
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience and Skills
Sound knowledge of Chemical plant unit operations (Distillations, filtration, separation, Heat & mass transfer) is must.
Process Engineering aspects of various types of equipment such as Pressure vessels, Reactors, agitator – mixers, filters, blenders, pumps. Process package equipment for specialty chemical industry
Identifying potential hazards and implementing safety protocols to mitigate risks.
In depth understanding of MOC selection criteria.
Understanding safety studies (HAZOP, QRA, PHA, LOPA etc.)
Basic knowledge of instrumentation for specialty chemical industry.
