Job Title: Electrical Engineering Technician

Job Description

The candidate will support the build of prototype and complete products of electrical testing equipment for industrial power. They will participate in design reviews and modifications, develop documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs), understand client needs, and build prototype and finished testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain drawings by assisting engineering with developing electrical, mechanical, and schematic drawings.
• Develop deliverable documentation including as-built configurations, Bills of Materials, user manuals, and test procedures.
• Setup and test prototype hardware.
• Fabricate cabling, electrical subassemblies, rack assemblies and install electronic equipment.
• Perform test system integration, validate system tests to design parameters, and suggest hardware/software changes if needed.
• Engage in hands-on testing and building, with some office time modifying designs and creating documentation.

Essential Skills

• Associates degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or equivalent.
• Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with CAD either in design or navigating electrical and mechanical drawing libraries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint).
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude including soldering to build testing systems.
• Experience with electronic testing equipment including volt meters and scopes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing in SolidWorks.
• Experience navigating LabVIEW.
• Electrical design experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
