Job Description

As a Reliability Engineer specializing in ADAS/ISS* Sensors and ECUs, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering team. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks which are critical to the success of our projects, both for products that have SOPed and those in the stages of new development.

  • ADAS: Advanced Driving Assistant System
  • ISS: Interior Sensing System

For SOPed Products:

  • Problem Solving and Failure Analysis: You will be responsible for conducting in-depth problem-solving sessions and performing failure analyses to support our series products, ensuring their ongoing reliability and performance.
  • Mounting Concept Development: You will develop innovative mounting concepts that align with both customer requirements and our internal standards, contributing to the overall design integrity of our products.
  • Design Cost Optimization (RPP): You will generate and implement cost-reduction concepts within the validation process, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of our products in the market.
  • Global Communication: You will engage in proactive communication with Bosch's worldwide development network, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization.

For New Development Products:

  • Requirement Analysis and Deploy: you will analyze intended use & misuse, mounting application load, and derive product general specification including temperature load profile definition, vibration load definition and humidity/water load definition, and so on.
  • Design for Reliability: You will prepare damage mechanism during focus area matrix creation, together with mechanical designers; you will join the design concept review and analyze the load path based on the design concept, compare stress and strength on design element level
  • Validation Plan & Report Generation: You will collect information to prepare VPS (Validation plan sheet) and testing proposal, create the validation plan and final release for electrical control units, create the physical analysis (PA) order to PA team for product after validation, and create the internal and external validation report base on function test result, environmental test result and physical analysis result
  • Technical Documentation: You will create comprehensive Technical Customer Documents (TCDs) and QZ specification for each project, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately documented and easily accessible.
  • Series Production Support: You will support the release of purchased parts for series production, ensuring a seamless transition from development to manufacturing, incl. sub-component validation plan in certain cases
  • Application of Engineering Methods: Through all the topics above, you will apply a range of product engineering methods, including but not limited to DBRFM, FAM, FMEA, and DFMA, throughout the mechanical development phase to optimize design and minimize risks.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and strong communication skills, as you will be at the forefront of our product development efforts. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping the future of our ADAS/ISS sensors and ECUs for Bosch.
