Job Title: CAD Technician

Job Description

The CAD Technician will be responsible for creating detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and components based on current examples and supporting future design initiatives. These drawings require a high level of detail in both plan views and elevation views, where applicable. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, capable of working independently to produce drawing sets that standardize workspaces and designs across a wide network of fulfillment operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed drawings for material handling equipment and work areas.
• Support design initiatives for future projects.
• Standardize workspace designs across fulfillment operations.
• Collaborate with the Robotics Solution Design Team to work on robotic system designs for automation fulfillment centers.
• Coordinate with other engineering teams to integrate CAD layouts and systems designs for fulfillment centers.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating CAD software with proficiency in managing layers.
• Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Design.
• At least 1 year of experience drawing in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment.
• Basic understanding of material handling and storage systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in conveyor design and layout is preferred.
• Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Leadership ability to manage small groups.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.64 - $37.64/hr.
