About this Position

  • Co-develop & execute the Supplier Quality strategy for APAC region and ensure that suppliers deliver high quality products to Henkel. Support the realization of supplier complaint reduction actions, implement supplier development programs and create expertise in supplier quality and performance management by purchasing categories.

What you´ll do

  • Spearhead and oversee the daily operations in a supplier quality & development function. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that supplied products adhere to the company's quality standards and industry regulations in a consistent manner. Stakeholder groups include but are not limited to
  • SBUs and their functional teams,
  • Procurement & Sourcing,
  • Supplier Quality Engineers and Quality Managers at plants,
  • Operations Networks and their Manufacturing Plants (Henkel & 3PMs) and their functional teams,
  • Supply Chain teams, and all branches of the Global Quality functional teams.
  • Lead Supplier Performance Management and the realization of Supplier Complaint Reduction Programs (SCMS & CCMS reduction).
  • Develop Teach Suppliers to mature in quality with alignment of Henkel’s requirements, e.g. 8D report, FRPS, SQRM.
  • Lead discussion with suppliers on escalation cases which are supplier related, to issue closure.
  • Train and support supplier complaint coordinators in the use of the SCMS system and maintenance of SCMS usage.
  • Extract and analyze the suppliers’ complaints report, identifying the opportunities for improvement leveraging power BI and analytical means.
  • Support the Supplier Quality & Development Global Team to apply the global strategy and program in the region.
  • Support Product Development in the selection process of new suppliers and joint development programs (3PM Suppliers).
  • Ensure 3PM suppliers have relevant quality certifications and support on customer required certificates by SQD auditor’s having the accredited qualification.
  • Support and facilitate Customer Audits of 3PM Suppliers.
  • Communicate Customer Requirements to Suppliers and ensure implementation.
  • Conduct Audit Plan in the region by audit activities and auditor’s tasks (as reports and DB update).
  • Creation and revision of relevant quality documents in HIMDOC/ REMAP databases.
  • Support the internal audit and external audit such as DQS and customer audits.
  • Support MOC Process for Raw/Packaging/3PM projects as defined in the procedure.
  • Conducting vendor assessment and supplier surveillance audits.
  • Business travel (20% of the time) to facilitate supplier visits / audits / development activities etc.
  • Conduct internal & external benchmarking/research and assessments to determine opportunities to improve Quality culture for supply base.
  • Championing SQ&D Process Excellence & Digitalization.

What makes you a good fit

  • Previously worked as a Supplier Quality Manager and /or Supplier Development in the automotive / chemical industries or equivalent.
  • Master and/or Degree in chemistry or engineering.
  • 8 or more years of experience in industry (Quality and/or Engineering).
  • Experience in ISO 9001, IATF 16949 standards, Food Safety, GMP.
  • In-depth working knowledge in Core methodologies & processes (PPAP, APQP, MSA, CEP, PFMEA & Control Plans).
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Experience in internal and external audits using process approach.
  • Knowledge of Food safety standards and GMP.
  • English advanced, or a second language speak in the region is desired.
  • Experience in Customer Specific Requirements as applicable.
  • Previous experience in working with SAP modules and/or Manufacturing execution systems.
