THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced and visionary AI Product Leader to establish and lead our AI Labs function. This leader will manage a dedicated team of AI engineers and researchers, with full autonomy to drive ideation, rapid prototyping, and customer validation of new Generative and Agentic AI use cases. Once validated, AI Labs will work closely with our core R&D organization to transition these innovations into the core platform; ensuring they are production-ready, scalable, and aligned with our long-term product strategy. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of enterprise software by enabling the transition from human-managed to autonomously managed business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and Lead AI Labs: Build and formalize the AI Labs function, including team structure, operating model, and innovation roadmap.
  • Ideation & Prototyping: Identify and rapidly prototype high-impact, AI-native use cases leveraging Generative and Agentic AI.
  • Customer Validation: Work directly with customers and partners to validate concepts, refine experiences, and shape product direction.
  • Productization Handoff: Collaborate closely with the core R&D team to transition validated prototypes into scalable, production-grade capabilities integrated into the core platform.
  • AI-native Innovation: Evaluate and leverage state-of-the-art AI technologies, platforms, and services to accelerate time-to-market.
  • Advisory Engagements: Establish and manage external and customer AI advisory boards to inform roadmap and strengthen strategic alignment.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Partner with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to ensure that AI Labs is tightly aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the company externally as an AI leader, participating in events, panels, and executive briefings.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experienced AI Product Leader: 10+ years in R&D leadership, with 3+ years building or leading AI/ML-driven products or innovation teams.
  • Strong Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies including Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), multi-agent systems, and AI orchestration frameworks.
  • Innovation Track Record: Proven ability to lead innovation from idea to prototype to validated concept, ideally within a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
  • Collaborative Leader: Strong cross-functional leadership skills and experience working closely with engineering, design, GTM, and executive teams.
  • Customer-Centric: A passion for understanding user needs and translating them into high-impact solutions that create customer value.
  • Clear Communicator: Able to articulate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including customers and senior leadership.

There is no expectation of approval for an international relocation for this job.The compensation range is specific to the posted job location and role and takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, performance, and market and peer comparisons. Salary ranges allow for growth opportunities as the employee develops new skills and/or hones current skills. A reasonable range estimate is $220,000 to $275,000 plus applicable bonus.
