REQ12783 Manager, Public Relations & Social Media (Open)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Public Relations (PR) & Social Media develops and implements the Public Relations and Social Media strategies, ensuring the reputation and brand image are serving the company business goals in all target markets.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises the company’s communication efforts to journalists, influencers, bloggers in Cyprus, Israel, Europe, and the Middle East
  • Works in tandem with our Corporate Communications team in Hong Kong, and with colleagues across different departments in the resort
  • Works across Cyprus, Israel, the Middle East, and key European markets to drive positive coverage of the resort (Leisure & MICE)
  • Responsible for defining the PR strategy, working with PR agencies in key source markets, and driving for the best possible ROI
  • Develops strategies and content (mainly in-house) for all key social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), working in coordination with the Resort Marketing team
  • Organises Press Trips and Visits by influencers and journalists to the resort to drive positive coverage and engagement in (Social) Media
  • Responsible for creating and submitting Award Entries across different business categories and markets
  • Manages Crisis PR in case of any reputational issues affecting the resort or the brand
  • Supports Senior Management with Public Affairs activities on an ad-hoc basis
  • Supports the company’s (local) Corporate Social Responsibility / CSR efforts

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • Min. of 7 years’ experience in PR & Social Media Management in Europe or the Middle East; experience in tourism or luxury resort is strongly preferred.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to build relationships with media to drive coverage in key markets such as Cyprus, Israel, the Middle East, and Europe
  • Strong experience of creating and managing engaging content for Social Media to grow Awareness, Consideration and Purchase
  • Strong International media network and relations
  • Experience of managing multiple PR agencies and other business partners

Skills / Competencies

  • Good sense of what content drives interest in Digital PR and Social Media
  • Expert knowledge of existing and upcoming Social Media Channels in Europe and the Middle East
  • Very good and innate sense of hospitality and luxury travel
  • Seasoned PR specialist who can grow internal and external relationships, and can integrate PR and Social Media into the overall Marketing Strategy
  • Strong in Team Management and Stakeholder Management
  • Fluency in English and Greek (verbal & written)
  • Strong writing and presentation skills and attention to detail
