The Opportunity

This position works out of our Sylmar, CA location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.

The Product Support Engineer is responsible for understanding and supporting the Merlin.net remote care products. Providing tier II support for Merlin remote care products which will include working with cross functional teams to facilitate problem resolution. Also, will include system level testing for the Merlin.net system and the creating test cases to verify deployment and system workflows. This includes a multitude of systems requirements that range from design, development, test methodologies, validations, risk analysis, documentation, and process improvements.

What You’ll Work On

• Participates in system, software, hardware testing planning reviews to support assessment of performance against design specification; reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and identifying possible solutions.
• On a 24-hour “on call basis” (rotating between other department employees), provides technical support services (once every two months for one week)
• Provide support for mobile apps, mobile device hardware and work with mobile service providers to maintain and trouble shoot field issues.
• Apply process and work methodologies by interfacing and communicating system level issues with peers/cross-functional groups.
• Collaborate with various organizations/disciplines (e.g., software, hardware, test, operations, manufacturing) to ensure system design artifacts accounts for all aspects of product lifestyle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related bachelor's degree.
• 1-2 years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Product Support
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles; ability to apply Systems Engineering principles to assigned task or activity.
• Experience with system analysis and cross-functional teamwork and decision making.
• Technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

The base pay for this position is

$72,100.00 – $114,700.00
