Our primary focus is on improving patient outcomes, ensuring that healthcare professionals (HCPs) are supported in achieving the best clinical results in an environmentally sustainable manner

As a District Sales Manager South, reporting directly to Sr. National Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a passionate and dedicated team in one of the most innovative and impactful areas of MedTech. You will be responsible for driving growth across our cranial and spine portfolios—including capital equipment and disposable business through strategic leadership and strong customer engagement in Southern Italy. This position is based preferably in South Italy (Campania – Puglia) or in Lazio Region, and requires frequent travel, accounting for at least 80% of your time.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Sales and Technical Specialists across Northern Italy, ensuring alignment with Medtronic’s values and commercial strategy within Hybrid Ecosystem (Agency – Distributor Sales Channel) .
  • Develop and execute territory-specific strategies for both capital sales (including large installations and smaller surgical systems) and recurring revenue streams (disposables, implants, and surgical instruments).
  • KOL Management: build strong partnerships with neurosurgeons, spine surgeons, OR staff, biomedical engineers, and hospital procurement departments.
  • Monitor KPIs and market trends to identify opportunities and risks, while providing accurate forecasting and reporting to Leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Clinical, Finance, Business Operation and Service to ensure seamless execution and a superior customer experience.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards, particularly in relation to capital equipment sales and hospital engagement.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the medical device industry, with at least 2+ years in people management preferably in Large Medtech Companies
  • Strong experience in Spine and/or Cranial markets, ideally with both capital equipment and implants will be preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing commercial teams and exceeding sales targets.
  • Solid understanding of the Italian healthcare landscape, especially in Sothern Italy,
  • Fluent in Italian and professional proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
