What You’ll Get to Do

The Continuous Improvement Engineer III is focused on leading continuous improvement and reports to the Director of Operations.

This role is perfect for an individual who wants to make an impact. A vital member of the Continuous Improvement Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Ability to teach/coach and provide guidance at all levels on Value Stream Mapping processes, time studies, Kaizen events, Standard Work, audits/Gemba Walks, PFD, FMEA, Control Plan, and Job Element Sheets, root cause analysis using 5-Why, Cause & Effect Diagram, A3 tools, New Product Introduction (NPI) validation, creating test validation plans, Gauge Studies, and statistical analysis.
  • Leads activities in addressing voice of the customer information. Leads in addressing complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how job function integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
  • Can lead lean activities both internally and externally to drive continuous improvement
  • Capable of coaching and mentoring others on the use of problem-solving tools (5-Why, Logic Tree, Cause & Effect diagram, A3, etc.) to determine root cause analysis and derive countermeasures.

What We Are Looking For

  • ≥10 years’ experience and has mastered and/or is considered a mentor in the use of Toyota Production Systems, quality systems, statistical tools, lean concepts, and procedures.
  • Capable of leading functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and/or complexity.
  • Can lead and teach best practices for internal or external business issues to improve manufacturing, products or services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering) or equivalent experience 10+ years related experience and/or training.
