Senior Product/Design Evaluation Engineer

Brief Job Description:

Energy Management Solutions (GMS) Business Unit is eyeing for a Design Evaluation Engineer to be a part of highly innovative team that defines, develop, implement and test next generation smart energy measurement solutions. The Product/Design Evaluation Engineer will work closely with the new product development team and guaranties software and silicon solutions is in line with Analog Devices design, performance and quality expectations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • He/She is responsible for physical evaluation and characterization of breakthrough and state of the art silicon solution performance and functionality.
  • Performs physical validation of silicon software solutions through simulated and stimulated test cases.
  • Architect software solutions to capture, measure and debug systems to component level functionality using industry standard software-hardware tools and instruments.
  • Develops and innovates hardware solutions for automated measurement characterization.
  • As part of a cross-functional team, he/she will work closely with Design, Test, FA/Reliability, and Applications team to solve challenging and complex challenges.
  • Document and publish measurement solutions as part of requirement of product release.
  • He/She will assist in cost improvement initiative of released products.

Key Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in ECE or EE or equivalent relevant experience
  • With hands-on experience in product/design evaluation role and with knowledge in precision converters, sensors, and SOCs is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of logic gates, memory, embedded programming (C/Assembly) and troubleshooting is preferred
  • Experience and Knowledge in embedded systems communication protocols and FPGA emulation is an advantage
  • Knowledge in LabView, Python scripting and C/C++ programming is an advantage
  • With experience in using bench test equipment is preferred
  • With excellent analytical & debugging skills and a strong drive for innovation
  • Experience in PCB schematic design entry using Cadence design environment is a plus
