Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Pharmacy Intern is to accurately, and efficiently perform pharmacy functions which include filling

and shipping prescription medications, customer service, cash register operation, data entry, and inventory put away when needed.

Advanced responsibilities include ensuring accuracy when performing all duties associated with the dispensing of pharmaceuticals

and providing customer service to patients and healthcare professionals under the supervision of a Pharmacist Preceptor.

Required Qualifications

1 to 3 years

Preferred Qualifications

Intermediate to advanced pharmacology knowledge, including the ability to calculate dosages, understand common drug

interactions, and knowledge of common drug therapies.

  • Prior experience providing exceptional customer service.
  • Experience working in a pharmacy environment preferred.
  • Attention to detail by applying appropriate organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Attention to customer focus, ensuring that both medical professionals and patients are responded to with accurate and

timely information.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external entities

Education

Enrolled in year 1 or higher of a BS in Pharmacy or

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program from an

accredited School of Pharmacy.

Other License(s):

Licensure and/or certificate per state or federal

requirements

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$17.00 - $34.15
