We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated EVT (Engineering Validation Test) Engineer to join our CXL team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing electrical characterization, power and performance characterization, system testing, and environmental tests on Micron’s cutting-edge CXL products. This role requires a deep understanding of server architecture and the ability to use advanced testing equipment.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to in this role.

• Work closely with Micron DRAM Memory and CXL Group worldwide in an agile environment.
• Skillsets to perform EVT function and validation:

Electrical Characterization: Voltage Margining, Voltage Ramp, In Rush Current, Usage of Oscilloscopes and Power Analyzer

Power and Performance Characterization: Analyze and optimize power consumption and performance metrics.

System Test: Graceful and Ungraceful Reboots with and without IO. Knowledge of BMC, and Server Architecture

Environmental Tests: Perform 4 corner tests (temperature extremes) and humidity tests to validate product robustness under various environmental conditions.

• Develop and/or understand EVT test plans, define test methodologies, provide recommendations and solutions, efficiently document and report test results, and write test scripts to ensure proper operation of Micron CXL products under test platform and environment.
• Reproduce, analyze, and triage issues in EVT environment and reference platforms in Micron Engineering Lab.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Solid knowledge and experience in 4 main pillars of EVT: Electrical Characterization, Power and Performance, System Test, and Environmental Tests.
• Deep understanding of system level topologies, performance metrics and OS kernels.
• Experience working on EVT test plan and test environment.
• Ability to perform early 1st level FA (Failure Analysis) on failure issues
• Experience in reproducing and analyze issues using industry standard tools.
• Familiar with ASIC/Backend Media product life cycle. (Development, Validation, Support)
• Experience in one scripting language. (Python preferred)
• Strive in agile environment and global team structure, have a product quality mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and working proficiency in English.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge in CXL domain in terms of specification and ecosystem.
• Experience in DRAM topology and validation.
• Experience in NVMe/CXL Protocol trace analysis.
• Experience in programming language. (C/C++/Java)
