Job Title: Electronics Test Technician

Job Description

As an Electronics Test Technician, you will install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of hardware. You will be responsible for completing quality tests and other reports to ensure hardware meets the specified drawings. Additionally, you will provide updates, status, and completion information to leaders via email. Occasional travel to customer locations (up to 10%) may be required.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to understand wiring schematics, pneumatic schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Ability to locate, analyze, and correct power failures, short circuits, and electrical-related problems.
• Proficient with hand tools (wrenches, fusion splicer for fiber optics, soldering irons, crimping tools, etc.).
• Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to follow instructions from engineers and clearly convey problems to them.
• Strong background in electrical systems.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Physically able to lift 35 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with tethered airborne systems and payloads.
• Broad understanding of DoD airborne and ground systems, hardware, software, operations, and their interdependence.
• Experience with CAD modeling software such as CREO, NX, or SolidWorks.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical drawing standards.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a small space in the Air Dock with ground station units set up next to offices. There is a warehouse with one conference table, six chairs, and a TV for virtual meetings. The facility is in the process of getting furniture for the offices. This position is 100% onsite, with occasional travel (up to 10%) to customer sites if issues arise.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
