Our Tuscaloosa County site is home to the production of Mercedes’ luxury SUV models, including electric vehicles. Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Our two campuses are among the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, with over 6 million square feet combined.

Essential Functions:

  • As part of the FP (factory planning) team we execute building and conveyor projects, a variety of "Factory projects" at MBUSI. The goal is to achieve a the best possible quality.
  • Preparation and support for the creation of documents within the framework of project coordination
  • Detailing of planning scopes
  • Creation of decision-papers, scheduling, etc. for project meetings and steering committees, or cost reporting
  • Preparation of weekly & monthly reports for management summaries
  • Organization and preparation of different meetings and workshops
  • Recording / tracking of important project dates/milestones, project course and project status with the focus on controlling and financial topics

Other Regular Daily Tasks:

  • Planning, coordination and communication of weekend activities
  • Preparation of system acceptance, creation and tracking of specific deficiencies
  • Execution of meetings and creation of meeting minutes
  • Onsite checks and general support

Qualifikationen

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:

Student in: Mechanical Engineering, Finance/Controlling, Industrial Engineering, Architecture / Civil Engineering or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:

  • Fluent in English and German (oral/written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Team-oriented
  • Distinctive interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Affinity for numbers
  • Good organization skills
  • Self-reliant

Preferred Start Date:

  • September 2025

Benefits:

  • Paid Internship - hourly rate $18
  • Coverage of visa costs
  • $700 housing bonus

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master’s degree
  • Studies outside of the U.S.A
  • A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
  • Available for a minimum of 6 months
