Responsibilities:
- Automotive development and testing of Powertrain Control Units.
- Writing hardware and software specifications.
- Performing confirmation testing on the actual vehicle and simulator.
- Troubleshooting and fixing related problems.
- Software functional data analysis and report generation.
- Working with component suppliers and other departments to resolve technical issues.
- Make technical decisions with moderate supervision.
- Able to work with a team or on an individual basis to reach project goals.
- Other responsibilities also include researching new technologies and market trends and making proposals for future products.
Requirements:
- 5 year's experience with Powertrain ECU validation (Transmission, Shifter or FI-ECU preferred experience).
- Strong knowledge of electrical hardware and software development.
- Interest in the automotive field and experience in the use of electronic measuring equipment and electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint / Vector tools: CANalyzer, CAN ape / ETAS: INCA)
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
- Valid Ohio driver's license.
Education:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similar.
