We’re a global leader in risk assessment and decision analytics across industries like insurance, healthcare, and finance. As a growing public company with worldwide offices, we’re expanding into high-potential markets while staying committed to our stakeholders and communities.

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead high-impact initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing complex systems, while providing leadership and mentorship to a newly established team of .NET developers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and management of a team of developers and analysts across the full software development lifecycle—including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment—for a high-volume digital content authoring and management platform.
  • Oversee and coordinate globally distributed teams, offering hands-on guidance, mentoring, and coaching to support professional growth and achieve annual performance goals.
  • Define and implement strategies and objectives to support system transformation efforts, including re-hosting, re-architecting, and making informed build vs. buy decisions.
  • Clearly communicate solution expectations and technical direction to internal stakeholders, team members, and cross-functional partners.
  • Propose, lead, and deliver scalable, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions that align with both internal and external customer needs.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, peers, and stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and allocate resources across multiple projects.
  • Proactively report project status, risks, and escalation points to senior management and key stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Partner with external vendors to evaluate, negotiate, and manage contracts and service delivery for outsourced solutions and resources.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, with a strong technical and managerial background.
  • Extensive experience in high-volume content management and authoring systems, with experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in application architecture, development, and analysis, especially using Microsoft .NET, SharePoint, C#, SQL Server, TFS, JavaScript, and search technologies (e.g., Solr, Elasticsearch, FAST).
  • Solid understanding of web, desktop, and database systems; cloud experience (especially AWS) is a strong plus.
  • Skilled in Agile methodologies and delivering content-centric software solutions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional team leadership, vendor management, and driving business results.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

We offer:

  • Leadership role for newly established teams
  • Flexible working hours & hybrid model of work (our office is located in Krakow, Poland)
  • Private health care and life insurance
  • Working culture centered on inclusivity and collaboration
  • Enjoyable work environment :)
