Position Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner will deliver high quality Human Resources support to assigned client groups at Hebrew SeniorLife. Key aspects of the role include Employee Relations, Organizational Development, Performance Management, and Staffing. This HRBP role supports the Senior Living housing communities across the Metro Boston area. The role is expected to travel between sites weekly to establish an HR presence and onsite support.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Post job openings internally and externally, and track activity in job posting databases according to proper HSL procedures for all housing communities
  • Set up candidates for first and second round interviews with HR and or hiring managers.
  • Distribute resumes to hiring managers as requested.
  • Check References of candidates for positions available.
  • Schedule orientation for candidates.
  • Send appropriate correspondence to candidates per instructions: offer letters, rejection letters, acknowledgements, etc.
  • Primary Human resources contact for all HR related needs, for managers and employees of housing sites.
  • Assist with questions and problems courteously and promptly. Obtain and convey information as needed. Maintain and project the Company’s professional reputation.
  • Interpret human resources policies and ensure appropriate processes and practices are followed.
  • Ensure that human resource records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the administration of the organization’s performance appraisal process by supporting managers for all housing sites.
  • Guide and educate managers on the merit increase process, as requested.
  • Assist with, and participate in, broader Human Resources department activities.
  • Partners with the broader Human Resources team during open enrollment and as needed.
  • Assist with worker’s compensation incidents and reporting at all housing communities
  • Monitor and respond to unemployment claims filed against various housing communities.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed.
  • Act as a back-up for other Senior Living Communities, specifically Orchard Cove when the HR Manager is not available.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience, skills and knowledge in a related field
  • SHRM CP or HRCI PHR certification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience preferred
  • Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office and many Human Resource Information Systems
  • Previous experience with Workday HCM, a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel to local housing site locations
  • Ability to move around the office area
  • Ability to occasionally move items up to 20 pounds
  • The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposure to noise. There is protection from weather conditions.
