As a Staff Product Application Engineer (f/m/div) in the Memory Solutions Business Line, you are responsible for converting the business opportunities from "Design-In to Design-Win". You will be interacting with our customer base (worldwide) by phone, email or in person on-site. This includes answering customers' technical questions (e.g., conducting measurements, debugging, interpreting data sheets), usually in consultation with other Application Engineer (AE)/Field Application Engineer (FAE) colleagues.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Maintain and develop personal relationships with internal staff in Development, Product Marketing, Quality, Sales (FSE & FAE), as well as with other IFX application groups through regular experience sharing sessions
• Create technical customer presentations
• Analyze competitively at a product level (internet, trade fairs, datasheet comparison, reports…)
• Create application tools (e.g., application notes, application/evaluation boards, programming tools, demonstrators, general documentation)
• Conduct application-relevant measurements, evaluation (use cases), and validation (with internal and external partners)
• Participate in system analysis with evaluation of functionality
• Contact globally for a defined product group, including support for regional AEs
• Conduct technical trainings for sales, FAEs, and customers

Your Profile

As a Staff Product Application Engineer, you commit yourself to the results of your own team and the company as a whole. Furthermore, you focus your efforts on finding solutions that offer added value for both sides. Lastly, you promote an awareness for continuous quality in your area of work.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar field
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in the semiconductor field
• Experience in a laboratory environment, daily customer interactions including training and joint debugging
• Technical experience in SW development, notably Linux open source
• Capacity of understanding system schematics and board layouts
• Expertise in electrical testing procedures/equipment and systems engineering
• Knowledge in analysis and solution of complex technical problems
• Self-motivated, self-learning, and a good team player
• Fluent English language skills. German language skills are considered as a plus
