Position Details: The successful candidate will join the finance team to provide financial services and complete financial related processes and tasks for specific units and departments assigned. This individual will support the Manager and team to compile, interpret, and report financial data for the departments they serve. The successful candidate will work with the Department Heads, faculty members, and staff on the status of departmental and grant accounts. This individual will assist the Manager with budget development and control. The successful candidate will also work with other finance team staff as well as other Finance and Business Operations staff within the Division. support of multiple departments.
The office consists of a small and efficient team where members regularly work independently and in teams. The team invites new ideas and strives for willingness to work with others. Routine meetings occur with faculty and staff in conference room settings. The ability to work in conference rooms as well as personal office are a must.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's in Accounting or related with 6 months related experience in accounting/bookkeeping.
Communication skills:
Computer skills: Must be demonstrably proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word and Excel), in addition to e-mail and Internet.
Preferred: Bachelor's in Accounting, Business Administrative, Financial, or related area.
Five years’ job-related experience. Prior experience with the OSU Financial system preferred (Banner); work history shows progressively responsible financial positions. Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
