HDR has an immediate opening for a Hydropower Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to join our Northern California team and be a part of our vibrant and growing national hydropower practice that ENR ranks Number 2 in the Top 10 firms providing services to owners and operators of hydropower plants. HDR operates offices throughout California and our NorCal hydropower practice serves as a vital hub linking hydropower expertise and capabilities among our Power and Water hydropower clients in NorCal, as well as leading and providing support for hydropower projects throughout California, the southwestern U.S. and nationwide.
Primary responsibilities for this position include leading the hydropower mechanical engineering practice in Northern California, overseeing the management of NorCal’s hydropower mechanical engineering projects and team, and engaging in business development and client engagement activities. This role involves a combination of leadership, business development, people management, and technical duties, all aimed at supporting and driving the success of the NorCal hydropower mechanical engineering team while ensuring that client needs are met and exceeded.
