ECS is seeking an EW Systems Engineer (TS/SCI) to work at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) in Washington, DC.
- Provides technical and program support to the Government Activity Manager (GAM) for technical project management, planning, task accomplishment, and detailed reporting focused on Naval Science and Technology (S&T) Electronic Warfare (EW) / Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) capabilities.
- Provides advanced scientific & technical guidance and recommendations regarding prototype development, technology maturation, test & evaluation plans to the EW GAM and other mid to senior level management officials within OSD, DoD, Services and other government agencies and outside organizations such as technical communities, UARCs, FFRDCs, industry and academia to assist in the development of emergent EW /EMSO technologies.
- Compiles Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) reporting and artifacts as requested for annual Future Years Defense Plan (FYDP) submissions and quarterly FY updates/revisions.
- Supports USG personnel with the drafting, revising, and staffing of presentation materials associated with Naval S&T EW /EMSO capabilities and associated collaborations with OSD, Services, Academia and Industry proposals.
- Leverages broad, diverse or specialized background(s) sufficient to confidently offer recommendations as to viability and or practicality of EW / EMSO 'leap ahead' proposals.
- Assists USG personnel with the coordination and planning of collaborative stakeholder conferences which generate community planning commitments, memorandums of understanding, and technology deployment agreements.
- Primarily focuses technical support to the GAM in the Naval surface combatant EW domain. Applicants should be versed in maritime and or joint Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTP's) and current and or planned surface EW systems and challenges. Proficiency in or with EW concepts; use cases and CONOPS in the execution of Anti-Air Warfare (AAW); Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW); Anti-Ship Cruise Missile (ASCM) & Anti- Ship Ballistic Missile Defense (ASBM) scenarios will be a significant advantage to the assistance of USG technical project management.
- Work closely with and convey the GAM's directions and expectations to various Naval Warfare Surface Centers and Laboratories teams executing concept definition/formulation; Prototype and/or Engineering Development Model deliverables; ModSim taskingand similar duties associated with possible EW/EMSO; C5ISR&T; and Space technology initiatives.
Salary Range: $175,00 - $195,000
