Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Hatfield , PA location.

Your Responsibilities:

Design and analyze moderately complex mechanical components, equipment, and products. Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Verification of prototypes and validation of manufactured products. Produces technical documentation, operating manuals, test reports.

Your Challenge:

• Modify existing and create new products to meet needs of customers applications.
• Design and conduct experiments, collects data and interprets results, conducts analysis and writes analysis and test reports.
• Capability to draw conclusions and reconcile differences between predicted and actual results.
• Provide Engineering support and training to the Production areas to assure desired production yield and optimize efficiency, safety, quality and cost effectiveness.
• File innovation disclosures and patent applications when appropriate.
• Develop expertise in current product lines.
• Prove assistance to Sales and Marketing for technically accuracy in representing product capabilities and expected performance.

What you Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, Master’s degree preferred
• 2+ years’ experience machined Mechanical Designs and Assemblies, Drawing creation, Analytical calculations, ERP Systems, 3-D CAD modeling, Technical writing
• Preferred Experience with FEA, castings, elastomers, GD&T.
• Ability to create and iterate designs, validate performance, and perform design reviews. Hands on verification and validation testing.
• Work in Team environment and effective communication with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Voice of Customer.
