We have an immediate opening for a DevOps Engineer. We are building the next generation of capital markets technology. Global capital markets are an ocean of fast-moving, interrelated, and complex data. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic problem-solvers with expertise in capital markets data to join us as we continue providing technology innovation and support to the world’s leading global capital markets companies.

Current strategic pursuits

The DevOps Engineer will build, maintain, and evolve the build and release systems of our internal development platform. This includes supervising initial deployments and guiding new users through the initial learning process for operating the deployed systems with a goal to improve release cycle times and allow developers to iterate faster.

Responsibilities

  • Primary engineering and operational support for multiple distributed applications
  • Educating and evangelizing DevOps best practices to the company at large
  • Being a conduit between infrastructure and development teams
  • Improving all aspects of application reliability, including better monitoring, alerting and documentation
  • Engaging with our software engineering teams on support issues and improvements to our tools, processes, and software

Qualifications

  • Must have 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Hands on experience building robust CI/CD pipelines for automating build, test and release phases in Gitlab/Gerrit/Github or similar technology
  • Strong knowledge of Git workflows - Gitlab/Gerrit/Github or similar
  • Significant experience and knowledge of Linux
  • Expertise with container orchestration - Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS etc.
  • Significant experience coding and automating in bash and Python
  • Must have experience with testing automation
  • Ability to profile and debug systems in real time
  • Cloud experience - AWS/Azure/GCP
  • Understanding of agile SDLC
  • Must be willing to work US EST 9am - 6pm

Nice to haves

  • Knowledge or Terraform, Cloudformation or similar technology
  • Prior experience with c, c++ or any compiled programming language
  • Experience with authentication and encryption technologies like ArgoCD, Spinnaker, CodePipeline
  • OS/kernel experience such as familiarity with OS tunables, log analysis
  • Experience with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager
  • Networking experience, analyzing packet dumps, multicast routing on hosts, packet filtering
