Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire: Mentor and guide a team of talented ML Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Architect and implement: Design and build scalable, robust, and efficient ML pipelines that power our core products.
• Innovate and optimize: Develop novel algorithms and continuously improve our existing models for performance, accuracy, and scalability.
• Solve complex problems: Tackle challenging real-world problems in areas like natural language processing, recommendation systems, and predictive analytics.
• Stay ahead of the curve: Research and implement state-of-the-art techniques in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and other emerging fields.
• Design and Development: Implement scalable solutions using LLMs, Fine-tune LLMs for specific NLP tasks, Develop and deploy LLM-powered applications
• Lead GenAI services and APIs that integrate a wide range of generative models into Adobe’s flagship products.

What You Bring

• Real Experience: Min 8+ years of relevant experience in Machine learning, including production-scale models
• Deep Expertise: Strong foundation in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and NLP, with a proven track record of developing and deploying ML models at scale.
• GenAI & Large Language Model (LLM): Experience in GenAi, developing and deploying LLM-powered applications, Knowledge of LLM fine-tuning techniques and optimization strategies. Understanding of LLM ethical considerations and biases
• Technical leadership: Experience leading and mentoring teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Problem-solving mindset: Ability to analyze complex problems, think critically, and develop innovative solutions.
• Passion for AI: A genuine enthusiasm for pushing the boundaries of AI and its applications in the real world.
• Advanced skills: Proficiency in Python and relevant ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.), as well as experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark). Strong CS fundamentals and coding languages (Python, C/C++, Java, Scala, R)

Nice to Haves

• MInimum of 7-10+ years of relevant work experience in ML and AI
• MS or PhD in Computer Science with specialization in AI.
• Publications in top-tier AI conferences
• Contributions to open-source ML projects
• Agentic AI. Strong understanding of agent-based modeling, reinforcement learning, and autonomous systems.
• Experience building and deploying AI agents in real-world applications.

Pay Transparency

Please note this role is categorized as onsite or hybrid in Santa Clara, CA The base salary ranges below are provided for pay transparency. Base pay is only one piece of our total compensation package as this role is eligible for bonus and equity awards. Compensation varies depending on a number of factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and zone.

Zones are determined by location. Santa Clara, CA is in Zone A.

Zone A: Base annual salary range: USD $239,000 to $282,000 + discretionary performance bonus up to 20% + preIPO equity (stock).

Hybrid Work @ Eightfold: We embrace a hybrid work model that aims to boost collaboration, enhance our culture, and drive innovation through a blend of remote and in-person work. We are committed to creating a dynamic and flexible work environment that nurtures the collaborative spirit of our team. Starting May 01, 2025, employees residing near Santa Clara, California, or our Bangalore and Noida offices in India will return to the office 3 days per week.
