What to Expect
Tesla is currently seeking a motivated Material Flow Process Engineer to support with current material flow for Gigafactory Nevada projects for Vehicle and Energy Products. This role focuses on the end-to-end design/sustaining of raw material flow, from concept design through handoff of a fully detailed plan to Operations. This role will improve in the current the inbound loading area, provide material handling headcount estimates, support warehouse operation, and ensure the lineside and warehouse space is efficiently designed. This role requires a solid understanding of Material Flow Engineering fundamentals. It is critical for a successful applicant to solve problems using first principles analysis, and exercise aggressive design optimization. This position is based in Sparks Nevada.
The Material Flow Process Engineer will responsible for developing/improving the current factory design which supports seamless integration between production and material flow. Innovation is expected. Through a detailed understanding of the high-level factory objectives and extensive collaboration with the internal and external teams, the PE will ensure that the designed processes as whole achieves all of Tesla’s objectives.
