Electrically test high voltage capacitors according to engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrically test capacitors using LCR, IR, and LC meters
  • Capacitor voltage testing, AC and DC
  • Set up and perform pulse testing of capacitors
  • Ability to set up complex testing involving inverters and resonant frequency circuits
  • Performs mechanical tests of capacitors for dimension accuracy
  • Ability to read and follow advanced test procedures including military standards
  • Ability to adhere to the highest standard of quality while continually performing at the highest level possible

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and comprehend oral and written instructions and other manufacturing documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers and co-workers
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and additional test specific software

Mathematical:

  • Will be converting between SAE and Metric measurements
  • Will need a strong familiarity of converting between engineering prefixes (i.e. milli, micro(µ), etc.)

Work Environment:

  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and the potential of electrical shocks
  • Occasionally exposed to exterior temperature conditions-heat in the summer, cold in the winter
  • Regularly exposed to loud noise

One element in our total compensation package is pay. The starting pay for this role is $18-$19 per hour.
