POSITION OVERVIEW
The Jacket Operator is responsible for operating the Jacketing equipment and lines necessary to manufacture and finish small to medium sized pair count cable and wire.
Primary Responsibilities
- Sets up machines, adjusting its settings to specifications of the job order
- Loads materials to be jacketed into the machine, monitoring constantly to ensure functioning correctly
- Makes any necessary adjustments and completes work orders assigned
- Maintains written records of daily production
- Drives forklifts or other Powered Industrial Trucks, lifts, etc.
- Maintains housekeeping in assigned work area
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum Experience Required
License(s) and/or Certification(s) Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Ability to follow plant work rules, work instructions, safety rules and established processes, procedures & practices
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements
- Inputs information into computer
