Pay Class: Full Time

Pay: $71,444.76- $95,259.67 per hour

Compensation range for the roles is listed above. Applicable salary rangers may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses, equity, and commissions.

The Role:

A Visionworks Project Engineer is to provide overall vision, direction, and continuous improvement of the capital project portfolio management for the Visionworks lab network. They will facilitate the creation and implementation of the project management tools, governance process, and project portfolio management. The Project Engineer will track project progress through deliverables, budgets, timelines, and communications to stakeholders. They will be responsible for managing capital budget and lead business process improvement initiatives which ensure the organization meets its customer satisfaction and cost reduction goals. The Project Engineer will demonstrate knowledge and experience in a high-volume Advanced Manufacturing environment

Job Specifications;

• Develop the project management toolset, including standard templates, deliverable documents, dashboards, budgets, and reporting.
• Establish effective phase gate governance model for project portfolio to promote effective decision-making and communications across all stakeholders.
• Manage the Manufacturing & Fulfillment portfolio of projects and supporting teams to ensure projects stay on schedule and under budget to deliver business growth and success per defined critical success factors.
• Lead complex cross-functional projects from inception to implementation, such as, planning, introduction of new equipment, layout modifications & process changes.
• Coordinate and communicate project plan, status, risks, and dependencies with stakeholders and executive leadership across the organization.
• Build strong partnership and influencing skills throughout the business.
• Lead the project management skills development for Engineering, Operations, etc.
• Assist with capital budget management and new capital requests.
• Oversees the implementation and effective deployment of continuous improvement process and procedure changes to assist the organization in achieving corporate goals.
• Promotes standardization of operational excellence within the business units within the management operating system (MOS).

Qualifications:

• 4+ years’ experience in training on a wide range of core Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, and SPC tools in both formal and informal settings for all levels of employees
• Experience leading and managing cross functional projects in manufacturing, fulfillment, and/or automation space, specifically with Process Engineering, PLCs, Robotics, etc.
• Experience with successful execution of large-scale capital projects and investments, including automation equipment.
• Knowledge and experience with Advanced Manufacturing principles.
• 6 Sigma Black Belt certified, and a practitioner preferred
• Superior knowledge of operations processes, mechanical engineering, data analysis, interpretation, and CI principles
• Demonstrated experience in training on a wide range of core Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, and SPC tools in both formal and informal settings for all levels of employees
• Working knowledge of process improvement and problem-solving techniques
• Exceptional customer and industry interface skills
• Ability to gather and understand resource information from a variety of sources, including interviews, research, and reports Experience using Manufacturing modeling and simulation software
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 7 and later, Office 365, and Minitab applications
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster cooperation amongst business partners and coordinate internal as well as external resource/work-load
