Executing fermentation projects. Includes setup, cultivation and cleaning of system. Data collection and analysis

Minimum Qualifications

Position Summary

Due to the varied nature of projects at BFF, the PostDoc will be required to operate in a variety of disciplines to execute fermentation projects for a major client. Outside of that work the Postdoc will focus on cell culture and protein purification process development. In addition, the candidate should have an understanding of molecular biology principles including gene cloning and strain development. The candidate will contribute to the development of new procedures that could eventually be services offered in the facility. This will require the ability to critically read and adapt procedures from the scientific literature, and accurately implement requested services.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

PhD degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology or related discipline or higher plus 3 or more years experience or a master of science degree or higher and 0 years experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Knowledge of microbiology/fermentation, protein purification theory and practice including operation of FPLC equipment.
