Mechanical Engineer IV
12-Month Contract
Onsite 5-days/week M-F
Hourly Pay Rate: $68-$80/hr
Job Description:
Were looking for an outstanding mechanical engineer drafter who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical design and related analysis specifically for flight critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production level designs.
Sr Mechanical Design Engineer:
Manufacturing Systems Engineering is responsible for delivering test software, test hardware and test frameworks that improve speed and quality of testing of hardware components. You will partner with engineering and production teams to bring reliability and repeatability to our test systems, improve throughput and accelerate the transition. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will have a background in space based and ground based mechanical design and analysis including electro-mechanical systems integration. The ideal candidate has experience making major optimization trades for payloads and system architectures. This is a hands-on role for a highly collaborative individual that combines superb technical and analytical capabilities to convert analytic trade studies to a space qualified payload, while meeting cross discipline requirements. The candidate will have a sharp focus on the specific needs of the customer and be able to conduct or direct the thermal and structural analyses to show that proposed solutions will meet the customer’s goals. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and practical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working on complex programs with a diverse set of talented individuals, as well as with partner organizations. The candidate will exhibit the potential to lead small sub-teams of mechanical engineers, and be able to prepare easy-to-read and technically compelling written reports.
This role is crucial in ensuring that products can withstand and function properly in diverse environmental situations. This role combines technical expertise in hardware engineering with project management and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the successful deployment and execution of test programs.
