Nasdaq is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join our Fintech Platform Operations team. Platform Operations team is a part of Nasdaq Global Operations Organization and is managing Nasdaq CapCloud and RegCloud offerings. These offerings are SaaS platforms which enable progressive business processing through a suite of award-winning, innovative solutions for capital markets and financial players of all sizes. Both platforms are rapidly growing and deliver the power and sophistication of market-leading software applications as a service. Fintech Platform Operations team manages client onboarding, operations and 24/7 production support, integrates the platforms with client and market ecosystems. Join us on this exciting journey!

This is a permanent full-time role based in BGC, Taguig City following a hybrid work model setup (at least 2 in office days per week).

What You Will Do

• Work together with the team to design, implement, and manage systems that deliver against requirements for functionality, scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for critical production issues and drive escalation/resolution of problems into Support and Engineering teams.
• Adopt, customize, and implement industry-standard in Handling Databases in Cloud Infrastructure -- Create and maintain automated scripts that will build, configure, deploy, and test applications databases to various environments; maintain, support, and improve our continuous integration environment.
• Work hands-on with the Database systems, install and configure it, and test that it meets the customer’s technical and business requirements.
• Support and interact with clients to manage Production Environments and ensure the availability of the Database infrastructure. Triage and analyze issues, including performance and connectivity issues
• Create and document processes and standards.
• Participate in DR tests to maintain high levels of readiness to ensure business continuity.
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend work activities

What We Expect

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience in a SaaS environment for a managed infrastructure or cloud-based solution
• Good knowledge of public cloud architecture (OCI, AWS)
• Must have experience on Experience with Oracle RAC 19c and Multi-tenant database environments. Good interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to communicate in non-technical terms to non-technical people
• Experience with RMAN backup and restore and Handling Oracle tools.
• Strong analytical skills and a familiarity with problem-solving, attention to detail and quality, and a desire for improvement
• Knowledge of DBA tasks -- schema management, tablespace management, jobs management, pdbs management
• Experience with scripting languages such as Unix Shell will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of with PostgreSQL, Red Hat Linux, Windows server.
• Good to have a basic understanding of Exadata Management and support
• Must be willing to work in a night shift schedule (10pm – 7am Manila time)
