Job Description
The Finance Manager (f/m/d) will be responsible for overseeing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities in Dahlewitz near Berlin. This includes managing the monthly financial reporting process, analyzing actual results, and explaining variances against the budget. The role will also involve preparing financial forecasts and collaborating with the Finance Business Partner to ensure that submitted results are accurate, reviewed, and approved, providing a clear and realistic outlook on future business performance. Additionally, the Finance Manager will support and drive improvements in financial tools and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within AT&C Finance.
Key accountabilities:
- Robust and timely completion of Ap’ly reporting, including SAP, journals, P&L and balance sheet
- Support and complete financial forecasts, including planning models and review packs, understanding key movements
- Support the FBP to provide information, insight and challenge to the teams, and drive strong financial performance on P&L/Balance sheet.
- Prepare and issue of Inventory reports incl Inventory surplus, Stockturn, Stock adjustment
- Support cost engagement across the AT&C DW site; ensuring that regular cost reviews & idea generation are held; P&L status is understood to ensure key levers behind actuals and forecasts are recognised, as well as major risks identified/mitigated, and opportunities highlighted & maximised
- Perform internal control and compliance activities for the Site, including Balance sheet reconciliations, asset verification support , AUC reviews and closure notes and Inventory system reconciliation
- Provide robust support to PMO and business cases, as required
- Work pro-actively with Site Finance Teams to simplify/standardise key processes, and share and deploy best knowledge
Key experiences and qualifications:
- Education & Qualification: Degree holder, professionally qualified, or both
- Experience: At least 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong foundation in accounting principles.
- Work Approach: Proactive, hands-on, and adaptable
- Language Skills: Fluent in written and spoken German and English
- Business Mindset: Curious and driven to understand business performance and contribute to improvements that meet commitments and targets
- Technical Skills: Good knowledge and working experience with SAP, MS Office, and Hyperion/HFM
