Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Employee and Labor Relations, the Coordinator of Employee and Labor Relations is accountable for assisting the Manager with Doctors Medical Center’s employee and labor relations’ activity. Ensures understanding and interpretation of policies, procedures, and programs to enhance management/staff relations. Functions as a resource and advisor to management on employee and labor relations matters. Listens to employee concerns and informs management of issues or concerns. Tracks and trends employee concerns and develops action plans to address them. Meets with managers and employees, investigating issues and recommending solutions. Communicates regularly with other members of the HR Department, which may impact, or be impacted by, various employee issues. Accountable for assisting Manager with Doctors Medical Center labor relations’ activity for all Collective Bargaining Agreements. Works with all levels of management to assure the consistent application of Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Minimum Education: 

  1. Associate degree or equivalent majoring in Business. 
  2. Bachelor of Science degree and Human Resources Certification preferred.

Minimum Experience/Skills:

  • 3-5 years experience in Human Resources. 
  • Experience in a union environment preferred. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

License/Certificates/Credentials: Valid CA driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
