You will contribute to the development of Resideo's next generation Comfort/Water control product. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of engineering projects and programs. 

Use your software/firmware coding knowledge by working on exciting products serving customers globally. Refine and expand your engineering skills in a team-based culture by working with innovative products and technologies. Partner with various project teams to reach effective solutions to complex engineering problems

JOB ACTIVITIES

  • Responsible for software development for electro-mechanic products for Resideo Comfort/Water business, perform Embedded programming in C code for HVAC system components (electrical actuators, controllers, sensors, and wireless and wired communication interfaces).
  • Define software architecture for end-product or reuse modules.
  • Create SW specifications (e.g., Software Requirements Specification, SDS - Software Design Specification).
  • Partner with electronics designers and other design team members to deliver optimal product solution. 
  • Review test plans for verification of device performance against product requirements specifications.
  • Cooperate with design team on systematic and risk mitigation methods design methods – functional diagram, design, and product FMEA

YOU MUST HAVE 

  • Knowledge in embedded software development environment and tools
  • Experience in coding of embedded applications (C programming)
  • Basic HW knowledge on the level of reading and understanding of schematics understanding of electronic circuits (microcontrollers, peripherals, communication busses, power supplies)
  • Written and verbal English language skills at minimum B1 level (B2 and better preferred)

WE VALUE

  • Knowledge of standard communication protocols (RS232, I2C, SPI), 
  • Experience with MODBUS RTU or BACnet MS/TP is a plus
  • Clearly and concisely deliver subtle or complex messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions
  • Knowledge of hydronic valves, actuation and HVAC system would be plus
