Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is looking for a hardworking, reliable Marine Engineer/Chief Engineer on behalf of our client located in HRM for a PERMANENT role This role involves working on various projects, using AI, IOT devices that contribute to the development and enhancement of marine vessels, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.

Duties

• Design and develop marine systems, including propulsion, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Building compressors, voltage regulations, monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to draft specifications for new projects.
• Conduct system design evaluations and modifications based on performance data.
• Fabricate components as needed, ensuring adherence to engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to compressors, voltage regulators.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in marine engineering technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge with experience in system design.
• 8 years of experience (Class 4 ticket) , 4+ years of experience (class 2)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
• Experience with logic controllers is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible in travelling across various countries(Singapore, Denmark etc. ) as per the project requirement
• Must have a clean criminal record and valid visa
• Ability to build relationships and adapt with the environment
• Ownership attitude

Shift days and time: Mon-Fri (8-9 Hrs)

Pay rate: As per Market standards and experience

Work Location: In person
