Senior MTS Analog Design

onsemi is seeking a Senior MTS Analog design Engineer, NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, Power Management, to join our growing team in Scottsdale Arizona, USA. This group is responsible for development of Power management products including DC-DC PMIC/POL, Multiphase controllers, Dr. MOS, AC-DC converters, LED drivers, SiC drivers, Switches and e-fuses for consumer, industrial and automotive applications. In this role, you will focus on the following

Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 20 years of experience, or MS + 18 years of experience 
  • Solid track record of releasing complex ICs/IPs to market 
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and methodologies 
  • Goal and outcome-focused with the ability to handle multiple projects within the team 
  • Ability to attract and retain key engineering talent
  • Experience in simplifying complex problems into smaller problems and solving them as a team 
  • Ability to clearly articulate issues, challenges, and concerns to all levels of management 
  • Solid understanding of various Power Converters such as Buck, Boost, LDOs, and relevant Analog building blocks 
  • Solid understanding of topologies and architectures for Constant-on-time, Peak, and Valley Current Mode, Voltage Mode, Multi-Phase Controllers, and Smart Power Stages 
  • Solid understanding of DC-DC PMIC/POL, Multiphase controllers, Dr. MOS, AC-DC converters, LED drivers, SiC devices and drivers
  • Strong Analog IC design skills, debug of complex silicon problems using simulations and/or bench testing 
  • Familiarity with advanced Bipolar, CMOS, and High Voltage BCD technology, Process, Device Physics, Semiconductor Manufacturing processes, and their impact on Analog performance 
  • understanding of large power transistor (LDMOS) Design, Layout, and Robustness 
  • Proficiency in leading-edge design and verification tools such as Simplis or MATLAB for architectural simulations, Cadence Spectre for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and tape-out 
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
