As a Software Engineer in the Product Software Engineering (PSE) team, you will work on implementing customers’ and other state-of-the-art ML models on Tenstorrent hardware. Your goal will be to achieve functionality, accuracy, and performance of the models, as well as to document and package the implementation, as a product, for easy use by the customers. To implement the models you will use, debug, fix, and improve existing Tenstorrent software layers and libraries such as tt-metalium, tt-nn, tt-forge, and tt-llk. You are expected to build expertise in at least one of these software layers and to understand other layers to be able to find a way towards your goal.In that way you will play a critical role in enabling our customers to be successful and enjoy using Tenstorrent products. Additionally, you will be shaping Tenstorrent software products that are primarily developed by other teams. As a part of your work, you will closely collaborate with other software engineers, system engineers, product managers, and sometimes with the customers’ engineers.This role is the right one for you if you like being customer focused, work on multiple software layers, code in C++ and Python, and contribute to open-source software.

This role is on-site, based out of Belgrade, Serbia.

Responsibilities:

• Implement functionality of the ML models by coding in Python and using well known ML frameworks, such as PyTorch, JAX, ONNX, and TensorFlow.
• Benchmark, analyze, and optimize performance of the implemented models by coding in C++ and Python.
• Validate accuracy of the implemented models.
• Document and package implemented models for easy use by the customers.
• Collaborate with the product managers on requirements for model’s implementation.
• Collaborate with other software engineers within and outside the team to achieve the goals.

Experience & Qualifications:

• BSc, MSc, PhD or final year of education in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics or a related field is mandatory.
• Experience with implementing ML models on GPUs and other kinds of accelerators is a great advantage.
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, and software development in C++ and Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with and passion for any of the following areas is a plus: machine learning, acceleration kernels, ML compilers, high-performance systems, runtime critical systems, and massively parallel processors and systems.
