Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Nashik, India. You will be mainly accountable for: • Vacuum Interrupter concept generation, preparation of designs, drawings, Bill of material and associated procedures. • Ability to perform or understand electromechanical, di-electric simulations. Prepare Vacuum Interrupter development and validation plan. • Leading Vacuum Interrupter development projects and co-ordinate activities in collaboration with local factory team. • Serves as a subject matter expert to the project, providing guidance to colleagues and junior team members, acting as a mentor, and sharing lessons learned. Qualifications for the role

• You are immersed in high performing R&D function in switchgear industry
• You have 3 to 7 years of experience in design and development of of Medium Voltage Switchgears
• Highly adept in CAD software (Pro-E or Creo or SolidWorks)
• Bachelors or Masters in Electrical / Mechanical / Metallurgy engineering
• You are at ease communicating in English
