UP Health System - Portage, part of regional UP Health System in Hancock, Michigan (UP, the gateway to the Keweenaw Peninsula) is seeking a full time BC/BE Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join and strengthen our established hospitalist team. Those who are currently practicing or are currently in training can be considered.
In this role, you will coordinate care in the acute hospital setting with collaboration from attending hospitalist physician and the interdisciplinary team: consulting physicians, ancillary staff, nursing, and support staff. Clinical responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, medical management, therapeutic interventions, patient education, and discharge summaries. You will report to and receive functional guidance and direction from supervising physician and the medicine section chief of staff.
