First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Business Process Engineer to join the Enterprise Data & Analytics Division. In this role, the individual facilitates, documents, improves, and trains business processes. Applies Lean Six Sigma methodologies to continuously measure and improve processes that optimize business outcomes, while adhering to audit, risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Guides and embeds continuous improvement culture and activities into daily practice. Sets and leads the standardization of processes across the Enterprise Data & Analytics ecosystem.
The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.
Compensation:
Officer, Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) Business Process Engineer
- The annual salary range for this role is $77,000- $105,000 / annually; commensurate with experience.
Assistant Vice President, Senior Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) Business Process Engineer
- The annual salary range for this role is $100,000- $130,000 / annually; commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as process engineering, business, finance, computer science, data science or equivalent experience
- Professional certification in Lean Six Sigma from an accredited university or non-profit organization
- Professional certification in Business Analysis and Process Improvement
- Certifications: If not already obtained, required to obtain within 1 year of employment.
- 3+ years working experience in business process improvement and/or continuous improvement
- 4+ years of experience working with data and analytics processes
- 2+ years of experience leading teams
- Requirement for AVP-level position.
- 4+ years working experience in business process improvement and/or continuous improvement
- 5+ years of experience working with data and analytics processes
- 2+ years of experience leading teams
Required experience may be obtained concurrently.
- Able to handle confidential matters judiciously
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and best practices.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of the use of technology and how it is used to improve business processes.
- Project Management and Agile Management skills preferred; certification not required
- Strong facilitation, interpersonal and consultative skills. Ability to develop and work with different constituencies in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and drive consensus using tact, curtesy and discretion even when there is disagreement.
- Requires a high level of cross-functional responsibility where the building and aligning of teams is crucial. Must have excellent facilitation, communications, and leadership skills – especially applied to teams that do not directly report to this position but must enact a good deal of influence.
- Initiative and ‘Can Do’ attitude, required.
- Experience with business analysis and requirements gathering systems and network design and development, protocols, standards, and information processing principles and practices.
- Experience with developing strategic business process view with an end-to-end perspective.
- Ability to breakdown and articulate complex processes into simpler consumable activities using business process methodologies and capabilities.
- Ability to conceptualize new ideas quickly. Ability to remain flexible in a demanding work
- environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities. Ability to determine the root causes of issues and problems and quickly develop solutions to resolve them.
- Ability to develop, lead and train others through the acquisition of new skills in the process
- management discipline and sharing these skills with others on a periodic basis.
- Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and follow-up systematically.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills for such tasks as preparing and deconstructing processes based on time scale, and context.
- Requires the knowledge of using standardized process documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucid, UML), and process automation tools (e.g., Robotic Process Automation, Software AG)
