The Alvarez College of Business, Department of Accounting is seeking qualified applicants to fill vacancies for Fall 2025. This includes Principles of Accounting I (financial accounting), Principles of Accounting II (managerial accounting), intermediate accounting, accounting information systems, cost accounting, federal income taxation, auditing, and other relevant accounting courses in our Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting or Master's in Accountancy program. Each semester's specific hiring needs vary, but we are always seeking to identify a ‘bench’ of adjunct instructors qualified to teach so that we can add sections and instructors as enrollments exceed capacity. Instructors are expected to ensure that critical learning objectives identified by the department chair and course coordinator are met through classroom instruction and instructional materials. This position requires the candidate to teach locally in San Antonio on the main campus of the University of Texas at San Antonio. Candidates who are not local will not be considered for this position.
Courses are offered throughout the day, including evening classes that start at 6 pm.
