Position Summary

The Manager, Custom Development and Integration is a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications and integrations that support business operations. This role requires strong backend development expertise, cloud technology proficiency, API integrations, and database management.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience with .NET Framework, SQL databases, and Azure services, ensuring high-performance and scalable solutions. This role is a blend of development, implementation, and project management, requiring technical problem-solving, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities 

Development & Integration

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using .NET Framework, C#, and SQL databases (MSSQL, MySQL, Azure SQL).
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and API integrations to connect internal and external systems.
  • Manage and optimize SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
  • Develop ETL processes for data transformation and migration between systems.

Cloud Technologies & Deployment

  • Deploy and manage applications in Azure Cloud, leveraging Azure Functions, Web Apps, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grids, and Azure Key Vault.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and system updates.
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance through proactive monitoring and optimizations.

Project Execution & Collaboration

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth integration and implementation of custom solutions.
  • Document technical solutions and provide end-user support as needed.

Process Improvement & Best Practices

  • Apply best coding practices, including code reviews, version control (GitHub), and testing to maintain high-quality development standards.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, performance enhancement, and cost optimization within the cloud and database infrastructure.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and implement relevant advancements to improve systems and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in backend development and integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET Framework, C#, SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • Strong expertise in Azure Cloud technologies, including Azure Functions, Web Apps, Logic Apps, and Service Bus.
  • Proven experience in RESTful API development and API integrations.
  • Strong database management skills (SQL Server, Azure SQL, MySQL) with expertise in ETL processes and performance tuning.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and source control (GitHub).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with business stakeholders and translate technical concepts into actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with ERP system integrations.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
